In a season where everyone is more mindful of their physique in tank tops, crop tops and short shorts, cherries are the perfect summertime snack to enjoy guilt-free.

With about 80 calories per serving, cherries are full of antioxidants, fiber, Vitamin C and anti-inflammatory agents that aid in everything from improved sleep cycles, to post-exercise muscle soreness, to improved heart & brain health.

Tart cherries have higher nutrient content when compared to sweet, so don’t be so turned off by their sour taste. And while cherries—both sweet and tart—are great for your health, they do of course contain sugar, so enjoy nature’s candy in moderation.
